Transition to the New Fastcase
Fastcase brings big data analytics, visualization, and work-flow tools to online legal research. Empowering attorneys to quickly identify the most important cases and reduce time wasted on repetitive tasks. In September 2020, Fastcase users will begin transitioning to the newly updated version of Fastcase.
“We are thrilled to roll out a big upgrade of Fastcase legal research. We’ve worked for years to make the research experience easier and provide more powerful tools so that you find what you need faster,” said Phil Rosenthal, President of Fastcase.
The newest version of Fastcase provides a greater variety of tools and results with improved speed, expanded search options, and more intuitive functionality. Learn more about the changes in the new Fastcase interface below.
Type-ahead:
Fastcase intuits the document you’re searching for before you even finish typing the full name or citation. The system predicts relevant search terms and specific documents.
Suggested search terms:
The new Fastcase features many tools to help researchers focus and enhance the search results, including a semantic term cloud. Available in both list and cloud formats, this tool displays terms of common legal phrases that researchers are likely to choose.
Interactive timeline:
A patented feature of Fastcase, the interactive timeline presents trends in the law and spots important cases, such as the most seminal and most relevant cases, at a glance.
