Danielle Holley-Walker
As a Houston native whose family has long been involved in legal education, Danielle Holley-Walker has geared her academic career, in the classroom as well as in administrative positions, towards the goal of equal educational opportunity. Her research has focused on several issues related to the intersection of race, class, and learning – from No Child Left Behind to affirmative action and charter schools. As the current Dean of Howard University School of Law, Danielle’s mission is to produce the next generation of attorneys focused on civil service and ushering in equal access to voting rights, immigration, and the legal profession as a whole. While the challenges of 2021 continue to lay bare the cracks in the American education and justice systems, we know Danielle will be a crucial asset in producing better opportunities for all.
