Marc Lauritsen is a pioneer of legal software. For over two decades, Marc has been blazing trails on document automation and artificial intelligence. He earned two degrees from MIT and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, served in legal aid offices, and then returned to Harvard to direct clinical programs, including Project Pericles, Harvard’s first major research program in law and computers. Through his company, Capstone, Marc and his team are systematizing complex know-how into easy-to-use practice tools, such as building custom software applications for document drafting and other legal tasks. He’s also teaching the next generation through his courses on document automation and decision making by leading Suffolk University Law School’s Institute on Law Practice Technology and Innovation.
