Relevance Challenge Terms and Conditions
- The Fastcase Relevance Challenge is a competition sponsored and administered by Fastcase, Inc. (Fastcase), a Delaware corporation whose registered office is at 711 D St. NW, Washington DC, 20002.
- The competition is open to residents of the United States currently attending a U.S. school for the purpose of obtaining a J.D. or L.L.M. The competition is closed to the judges and administrators of the competition, their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the judging or administration of the competition.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be grounds for disqualification.
- Closing date for entry and submission will be April 19th, 2019 at 5:00pm Eastern Time. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- Fastcase accepts no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
- Entrants must first register for the competition by submitting all required information on the Registration Form, which can be found at https://fastcase.com/relevance-challenge/register/
- Once Registered, Entrants must submit all required information on the Submission Form, which can be found at https://fastcase.com/relevance-challenge/submit/
- The winner will be chosen by panel of judges appointed by Fastcase.
- The judges may determine that no submission outperforms the Fastcase default relevance algorithm, in which case no winner will be chosen.
- Fastcase reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions. Such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Fastcase.
- Fastcase also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
- Fastcase is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
- The prizes are as follows:
- One ChromeOS laptop of equivalent or greater value to the Acer Chromebook 15.
- $1,000.00; to be paid by check or other mutually agreed means of transfer.
- An offer to work at Fastcase as a paid intern.
- The non-cash prizes are not transferable.
- The winner (if any) will be announced no later than June 15th, 2019 and will be notified by email and/or letter. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Fastcase reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
- Fastcase will notify the winner when and where the prizes can be collected, or will make suitable arrangements for delivery.
- Fastcase’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by DC law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Washington DC.
- Winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Washington DC data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
- The winner’s name will be available for 28 days after the winner announcement by emailing the following address: support@fastcase.com
